She was 5 days early, thank God, and I was blessed with only 7 hours of active labor!
It all started with a popsicle. Corey woke me up at 4 in the morning because he needed help getting a popsicle open. Right after that, I started having contractions and after 2 hours, they were only 6-7 minutes apart. So me, being the logical one, finished packing our hospital bag and mentally preparing myself. Corey on the other hand, didn't believe it was real labor so he asked me, "Does this mean I shouldn't go to Lowes right now?" I said "No, put some pants on, we are going to the hospital!"
I will spare you the rest of the details, but honestly I was very lucky to have a "quick and easy" labor. With the help of an epidural of course! Surprisingly, the stay at the hospital wasn't bad and we had some very good nurses, that I give SO much credit to!
We came home on Sunday, the 14th and have been learning to adjust to life as a family. Maya loves to be near her when we let her, and always "checks on her" when she makes any crying or whimpering noise.
So far, Dallas is a really good baby. Loves her swing, likes baths, likes going for walks, doesn't mind being changed, and one thing is for sure, she loves to sleep!
Her wake up routine. Haha. Did I mention she loves her sleep?
As of right now, she doesn't do a whole lot, but I know it won't be long until I'm updating that she's rolling over or crawling! She's growing fast. At a week old, her long legs already outgrew all of her newborn pajamas!
And while Tarah was visiting, she took some adorable newborn pictures!
Of course, there are sleepless nights, I've been pooped on, peed on, puked on, sometimes all in one day. And I know this is just the beginning. But all that doesn't outweigh the good. I love being a mom and wouldn't trade it for anything :)

YAY! ive been waiting for this! :)
