6 weeks old.

6 weeks old!
(almost)

Dallas will be 6 weeks old on Friday, and she weighs 9lbs and 6oz! She also has outgrown almost all of her newborn clothes, which is sad because she never got a chance to wear a lot of them. So now we're into 3 month clothes :)

The past couple weeks have been a little rough. I took Dallas to the Dr for the second time, a couple weeks ago, because I was 99% sure she was having some acid reflux problems. They told me nothing was wrong, AGAIN, and sent me home with a very cranky baby. Well, here we are a week later and its only getting worse. She is in a lot of pain and it makes me so sad! So, we went back for a third time today, and finally made them prescribe my poor baby some medicine. I'm hoping this will work!

Another issue we've been having is napping during the day. For some reason, she sleeps fine at night by herself, but during the day she HAD to be held while she slept. If we put her down, she would wake right up. I had tried swaddling in the beginning but she hated it! I decided to try again, because at this rate, nothing was ever going to get done. She was SO tired, so I swaddled her and stuck her in her carseat and she slept for 4 hours! It was amazing! 

Little by little, she's getting somewhat more independent. She lays on her playmat longer now. She even reaches for her toys and kicks them with her feet sometimes.
And I finally caught her little toothless grin on camera! :)

But of course, there are times she wants to be held, so we decided to try out the moby wrap! She loves it!

She's starting to find her voice a little. Here she is talking to herself in her swing!

She's also holding her head up really well now :)

Our First Mother's Day.

Today is my first Mother's Day! 

We hung out at home most of the day, and Corey gave me a very nice card and made these delicious chocolate covered strawberries!

Then we went to Leo's, our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and margaritas!  It was a great first Mother's Day. I am so lucky to have my little family :)

Also, Dallas is 1 month old today!

I can't believe its been a whole month since I've had her!

4 weeks old.

Its been 2 weeks since I last updated, still not a ton to write but I have quite a few pictures which I'm sure is what most of you want to see anyway!

Dallas is 4 weeks old today! Which is apparently pretty tiring... I am pretty sure she's going through a growth spurt, which would explain the too-short-pants turned into capris ;)

One big thing that's happened is Corey got the early okay to take his sling off, and he is able to pick her up and feed her, which has been a nice break for me!

And Maya always has to be in the same room as Dallas, she loves to protect her... and LOVES to give her kisses! 

I started putting her on her play mat. She's not really sure what to think yet, but she is usually pretty content on it.

Dallas's other new favorite activity is to projectile vomit everywhere about once a day. Always all over me, of course. We ended up taking her to the ER because we were pretty concerned about it. And after 6 hours there, and her getting an ultrasound, they pretty much told us there isn't anything they can do. So hopefully she will outgrow it soon, poor baby!

Other than that, our days just consist of the normal, eating, playing, going for walks, taking a bath and sleeping!
