5 months old.

Dallas turned 5 months old yesterday!

No appointment this month but I'm going to guess she weighs somewhere around 13lbs.

Not a ton to write about this month. She is rolling and scooting ALL over! She decided her play mat wasn't big enough for her anymore, so we bought her a big soft pink  rug to play on. Then she decided that wasn't big enough, so she still ends up on the tile, and for some gross reason she always tries to make it to Maya's dog bed.

She has tried a few new foods in the last month.
Avocados.

Sweet Potatoes.

And her favorite so far... Green Beans!

She is always sticking her tongue out at people.

We went on our first "camping trip" It was really a cabin, in New Mexico, but it was as close to camping I was gonna do with a 5 month old! She liked the beach and loved being outside.

She sleeps like this 99% of the time. So funny.

She found her feet, and chews on them all day long.

She is actually starting to play with toys quite a bit more.

She's getting pretty close to sitting up on her own! And if it was up to her, she would stand ALL DAY LONG. She just wants to get up and go, and gets so mad that she can't.

And the biggest event of the month... we are moving back to Michigan in
4 DAYS :)

Can't wait for everyone to meet her! See y'all soon!!!

4 months old.

Dallas turned 4 months old yesterday!

...and the outtakes. Haha.

She weighs 12.8lbs and is 25 inches long!
She only has 3 inches before she outgrows her carseat!
Little string bean....

She is wearing 3 month and 3-6 month clothes. But her long legs have already outgrown the 6 month pajamas we just bought her.

A few days after she turned 3 months, Ciara and I took Dallas to get her ears pierced. She cried for a couple minutes and then she was fine! They are so cute!

Also this month, we celebrated Corey's 23rd birthday. We went out to dinner with friends, and it was the first time she didn't just sleep the whole time. She did good though!

We went to a festival up in New Mexico. (Yes, it was a beer festival, but I swear there were tons of kids there, we are not horrible parents!) She loved being outside and people watching. Haha. She gets that from me ;)

Just in the last month, I feel like she is learning and doing so much more!

She almost always smiles back when you smile at her. She squeals in excitement and laughs quite a bit too.

She is trying so hard to hold her own bottle, but not quite there yet.

Also, for the past 2 days we have fed her baby oatmeal! I was really expecting funny faces and confusion, but she just took every bite like a champ. Like she had been doing it her whole life!

...and she got MAD when I didn't give her another bite fast enough!

She rolls from her back to her belly now, which means we have to stop swaddling her at night. Thats been a nightmare, she was really dependent on her swaddle. But she's finally getting used to sleeping without it, and nights are getting better!

She also tries really hard to sit up on her own, but is just a little too wobbly. And just the last few days, I have started standing her up on my stomach or the couch. At first she could just hold her weight for a second or two, but now thats ALL she wants to do! She would stand up all day!

We still can't get her to take a pacifier, but she loves to suck on her bottom lip, and suck/chew on her fingers. Mostly her thumb and pointer finger at the same time.

We got her a jumper, and while most babies her age can't reach the floor yet, my long legged girl can and she loves jumping in it to make the music play and the lights light up.

She always smiles when you kiss her cheeks and she tries to kiss back, with a wide open mouth. Haha.

She has learned to splash in the tub and she LOVES it. Bathtime is still her favorite time of day :)

One of her biggest steps this month was she learned to grab toys with her hands. She always grabs her link toys and puts them in her mouth. She loves chewing her crinkly D that I made her. And she tries really hard to get her mouth on her "Sophie" giraffe... but its still a little big for her mouth.

One of her favorite things is this "monster blanket" that Ciara's grandma made her. She loves sleeping with it over her face.

She has gotten to skype a couple times with family back home but it will be so much better when she can just meet everyone in person! Less than 3 months, yay!

She has found her voice and she LOVES to use it...

I realized I never put pictures of her room up, so here they are! :)
